Nike Shoes

Nike Shoes history starts from that day when Phil Knight a middle-distance runner for the track team of Oregon University met Bill Bowerman coach of his team, he observed that Bill Bowerman's was very passionate to improve running shoes. During his studies at Graduate School of Business at Stanford, a professor named Frank Shallenberger asked his students to write some paragraphs on a topic "how you would create a new company". With his experience of Bowerman in his mind, Phil Knight's wrote a well drafted note that how profits can be generated by importing cheap but quality running shoes from Japan. Phil Knight put his theory into practice and both Knight and Bowerman invested $500 each to import Tiger shoes from Japan, this was the foundation of "Blue Ribbon Sports" (BRS). They formed Blue Ribbon Sports in 1961 with the purpose to generate profits and make these running shoes popular for the athletes in all over the world. Nike Shox

In 2000, a new technology in footwear category was introduced by Nike called Nike Shox (also called Shocks). It was hailed as the most advanced technology to date with it's columns of high durability foam and spring plates. Shox (Shocks) are small columns that make up the mid sole of the shoe. They are mostly made of rubber. There are many different formations that Shox come in, but they usually come with four circular columns in a square formation for maximum cushioning. There can also be five or six Shox that vary in height, and triangular and rectangular Shox that provide better stability. Some shoes have midsoles made entirely of Shox, like the TL series. <article resource>
