Converse, is one of the biggest American shoes manufacturing company which is making shoes since the early 20th century. Converse became popular for its basketball sneakers & training shoes, but Converse also produced safety shoes that are similar to their regular sport shoes. Converse is owned subsidiary of Nike now.


It all started in 1908, when Marquis M. Converse previously a manager at a shoe making firm opened a rubber shoe company with the name Converse. The company started manufacturing athletic shoes in 1915 and before that they were only making rubber soled footwear.
