Gucci was founded in 1906 by Guccio Gucci in Florence, Italy. Guccio Gucci use to work as a dishwasher in London's Savoy Hotel, where he learned about the aesthetic of the Cosmopolitan Culture and later introduced his exclusive leather goods in Italy. He started selling leather bags to horse men and progressed to luxury luggage. Gucci designed many of the Gucci's products and also hired finest craftsmen of Tuscan artisans. In 1938 he opened their first retail store in Rome.
